I am a mixed media artist based in Norwich, living on a boat on the Norfolk Broads. Much of my work focuses on the people and places that are familiar to me and that I explore on a regular basis, be it walking in the Norfolk landscape, exploring the river kayaking, wondering around the city, and anything related to the boating environment.
During summer you can usually find me working in my studio or plein air painting and in the colder winter months, painting digitally on my iPad in front of a cosy fire.
The work created in my studio is inspired by memory, my photographs and an archive of sketches made on location. I use a range of mixed media processes which include painting, collage, printmaking, and digital, either combined or on their own.
A couple of days a week I teach Graphic Design and Fine Art A’Level at a sixth form college.
I am a member of the Norwich and London Urban Sketching groups.
